Yep, we listen to little voices too… and they’ve got it right: what would the Great American Irish Festival be without something for the kids?
Bring the entire family from noon through 7 PM on Saturday and from noon to 5 PM on Sunday, and enjoy activities specifically geared for our younger festival-goers. Take part in a variety of arts and crafts (last year the paper bag puppets were a hit!), see the Utica Zoomobile, enjoy some friendly competition in everything from board games to basketball to Wii, show your artistry with chalk or take a crack at some kid-sized puzzles. You can even be a conductor at the train table! And while we ask that parents not leave their children unattended, here’s a little secret for moms and dads: sometimes even adult festival-goers need this break away from the hubbub!
